   The most convenient way to get to Chalkida is from Athens, which is the most probable place you will arrive when coming from foreign countries. FROM ATHENS TO CHALKIDA

• By Car / Taxi
  
     Chalkida is about 70km from Athens (Athens International Airport). From the Airport, you follow the superhighway 6 (E-94) "Attiki Odos" until Junction 8 with Greek National Road 1 (E-75), where you have to turn towards Lamia. You follow Greek National Road 1 (E-75) towards Lamia for about 55km (34 miles), and just after the second toll station, you turn right for Chalkida (many signs available). You will reach Chalkida after about 13km (8 miles).

• By Train
  
     From Athens International Airport, you can take the METRO in order to go to the Central Train Station in central Athens.
     From there, daily, there are many itineraries of trains, from Athens to Chalkida, according to the following timetable:
  4:10, 5:20, 5:55, 7:35, 8:35, 9:35, 10:25, 11:30, 12:40, 14:00, 15:20, 16:35, 17:35, 19:00, 20:30, 21:30, 22:50.
     Price is approximately 5€ and duration is about one hour.
     NOTE Due to railroad works in progress near Chalkida, passengers to Chalkida will disembark at a nearby station and will be transferred to buses.

• By Bus
  
     From Athens International Airport, you can take the METRO in order to go to the Central Bus Station in central Athens. Alternatively, you can use taxi or local bus lines.
     Daily, there are many bus lines, from Athens to Chalkida, according to the following timetable:
  5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30, 15:00, 16:30, 17:00, 18:30, 19:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 22:30.
     There are some changes on the timetable during weekends. Price is approximately 4,50€ and the duration is about one hour.
