Bulgaria

Bulgaria officially the Republic of Bulgaria, is a country in Southeast Europe.

It lies on the eastern flank of the Balkans, and is bordered by Romania to the north, Serbia and North Macedonia to the west, Greece and Turkey to the south, and the Black Sea to the east. Sofia is the nation’s capital and largest city. Other major cities are Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas. The Black Sea coast has been renovated in recent years, and is now home to large hotel complexes and spas alongside golden sand beaches. If you’re planning a winter trip though, there are lots of scenic ski resorts in the country too. Bansko Pamporovo and Borovets. The mountainous regions of Bulgaria are a popular holiday destination especially during the winter and the spring. For many years, Bansko hosted competitions like the alpine skiing World Cup.

An hour and a half drive from Sofia, Borovets is another famous ski area, located in the Rila mountain, near the highest peak in the country and in the Balkans – Musala peak, 2925 m. Whatever time of year you visit you’re guaranteed to have a great time in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria is rich in mineral springs – we have over 700 across the country. So this kind of pleasure is quite accessible to the people. So there are plenty of places and hotels with hot mineral pools.
