Conference Paper submission

Quality

The review process will be handled in EDAS. Full-length 4-page papers that have not been submitted anywhere else will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers and will be accepted based on its originality, significance, and clarity. We target an acceptance rate of 50%. The accepted papers of the conference will be indexed under IEEE Xplorer.

Oral Presentations

Each presentation is allocated a timeslot of 15 minutes which must not be exceeded. Please  prepare your talk to last about 12-13 minutes so that a few minutes are left for questions and discussion. For appropriate timing of your talk, it is recommended to use no more than 10-12 slides that are not too dense. Your slides should attract the attention of the audience and emphasize the key points of your paper. They should be easy to understand and legible even from a larger distance. Avoid too much text and small fonts. Use figures and diagrams wherever possible, and colors for headings etc. A computer and a video projector for electronic presentations will be present.

The presenter is asked to stick to the following rules:

  • Presentations may be in either Microsoft Powerpoint (2003 - 2007) format or Adobe PDF format.
  • All presentations must be loaded onto the laptop in the relevant session room at least 10 minutes prior to the session start.
  • Presenters must bring their presentation on CD or USB storage device.
  • Presentations must be in a PC readable format.
  • If there are movie clips included in your presentation you MUST bring the original movie files.
  • You should introduce yourself to the Chairs of your session beforehand. As a courtesy to the Chair, please arrive at least 10 minutes early at the session room.

If you need any further equipment, please contact Mr. Philipp Svoboda (psvoboda@nt.tuwien.ac.at) by March 30.
