TRAVEL INFORMATION
GETTING TO DUBROVNIK By Airplane Dubrovnik airport is located about 20 km to the south of the city, with many international flights from different European cities. Zagreb airport is well connected with Dubrovnik airport and offers additional international connections. Dubrovnik airport is connected by busses with the Dubrovnik main bus station (check “By Bus” section). It is also possible to take a taxi at the airport. By Car The Croatian A1 motorway (E65), connected with European motorway network, ends 90 km north-west of Dubrovnik (near Ploče). From there, the main road continues to Dubrovnik. It passes through a small section of Bosnia and Herzegovina so one should have a valid passport or other document required by Bosnia and Herzegovina authorities at the border check. To bypass this section it is possible to take a ferry Ploče – Trpanj, but it extends the travel time. By Bus Direct bus connections with Split (appx . €20, 4.5 hr), Zadar (appx. €25, 8 hr), Zagreb (appx. €30, 11hr), Rijeka (appx. €55, 12hr), Mostar (appx . €16, 3 hr) and Sarajevo (appx. €20, 5 hr) are available. Using any of them, one should have a valid passport or other document required by Bosnia and Herzegovina authorities at the border check. |
